Ride to Conquer Cancer

Jess' close friend Jackie and her friend Amy are doing the Ride to Conquer Cancer that raises money to benefit the BC Cancer Foundation for making advances in cancer research and patient outcomes.  What's amazing in all of this is that Jackie had her own battle of Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma over two years ago and is now on remission.  It's a miracle and a blessing that she is able to participate in this event and together,  they will be riding in memory of Jessica.  Jackie was a HUGE supporter and a pillar of strength for Jessica during her own battle and I hope you could support her team for this great cause!

This excerpt below is from their site.  If you can make a donation, even just a little, please visit the link at the bottom.

Dear Friends,
This year I am again riding my bike 200km for the purpose of raising awareness and funds to support cancer research. This time last year, my friend, Jackie, was my inspiration for doing the Ride to Conquer Cancer. She was diagnosed in August 2010 with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma at the age of 39. Now she is in remission and determined to ride beside me. Jackie and I are now riding in memory of her dear friend Jessica, who passed away very recently from Triple-Negative Breast Cancer. From what I know, Jessica was an amazingly determined and thoughtful person who made a huge impact in the lives of those who knew her. Jessica is survived by a wonderful husband and two beautiful young boys ages 5 and 2. It is not fair, so let's make it better.
Research can make a difference! In the last year alone, break-throughs in both NHL and Triple Negative Breast Cancers have been discovered to advance doctors understanding of how to utilize appropriate protocols to save lives. Our efforts make the difference, you can make a difference. Thank you for you support. It means so much to so many.

Thank you so much!

Amy
